Cesare Fullone

He lives in Milan, where he graduated in Arts (Painting) at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. He believes that art is restless language constantly strained and under pressure, a poetic and ethical means of witnessing and interpreting reality. “Stati di Pericolo” (“States od danger”): chains and barbed wire, metal powders and puncheons and nails, as well as camouflage painting and x-rays and “Acids”.

He chooses powerful icons, explored places such landscapes, and worlds and modified objects. His work attract and disturb at the same time: hupnotic images which capture the attention and force the viewer not to look away. The 2009 Fullone piece “Dal Creato al Ri-creato” which depicts a primordial nature, in black and white color, with simple and precise graphics, an intricate nature, an incomprehensible and unspoiled nature that follows mysterious laws. Photos, videos, posters, magazines, Cesare Fullone creates and activates the imaginations, moving away from the embodiment of one’s self, a fracture in the rock walls of recognizability.

Amongst his solo exhibitions: “Sulla rotta degli Spraysages”, Rome – “Stato di Pericolo”, Genova – “Schieramenti”, Turin – “Insonnia”, Milan – “Paesaggi umani”, Zagreb – “Boxeur”, Milan – “Dal Creato al Ri-creato”, Milan.

His works have been present in many group exhibitions, amongst which: the Open section of the Biennale in Venezia, the Quadriennale in Roma, the MART in Trento and Rovereto, the Padiglione di Arte Contemporanea (PAC) in Milan, Pitti Immagine and Stazione Leopolda in Florence, Zagreb’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
